Brief Bio:
Dr. Lydia Chwastiak is a Psychiatrist and an Internist whose research interest is the medical co-morbidity of patients with serious and persistent mental illness. Her current projects include the evaluation of the impact of chronic medical illness on the quality of pharmacotherapy for schizophrenia in a national VA sample; and the evaluation of the management of chronic pain disorders in HIV seropositive and HIV seronegative veterans.
