COMMUNITY

Community Based Organizations in Connecticut

CIRA's primary contact with the community is through the Community Advisory Board (CAB). The CAB is comprised of representatives from AIDS service organizations, community-based organizations, local health departments, Connecticut residents interested in the Center's work, and individuals infected and affected by HIV/AIDS.

The following agencies are represented on our Community Advisory Board:
  • AIDS Interfaith Network
  • AIDS Project Hartford
  • AIDS Project New Haven
  • Community Health Services
  • Community Partners in Action-Beyond Fear Program
  • Connecticut HIV Prevention Community Planning Group
  • duBay Horton Associates
  • Hartford Health Department
However, through the work of CIRA's Community Research Core Assistant Director, Leif Mitchell, and CIRA Scientists, CIRA partners with organizations and planning bodies throughout the state extending well beyond the CAC. Some of those organizations are included in the following links. Please note that this is not a comprehensive list of CBOs in Connecticut, and if you know of other sites that should be listed here, please contact our Webmaster at cira.webmaster@yale.edu.
