COMMUNITY

Connecticut HIV Prevention Community Planning Group (CPG)

The CPG whose membership is reflective of the HIV epidemic in Connecticut, was established by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The mission of the Community Planning Group is to analyze the statewide HIV/AIDS epidemic and to assess, advocate, and prioritize HIV prevention needs. This is accomplished by identifying HIV prevention interventions and developing a comprehensive HIV prevention plan, including an Epidemiological Profile of HIV and AIDS in Connecticut in collaboration with the CT Department of Public Health's AIDS and Chronic Disease Division. For more information, see CDC National Center for HIV, STD and TB Prevention and CDC Divisions of HIV/AIDS Prevention.
