Introduction to sexuality education for individuals who are deaf-blind and significantly developmentally disabled Kate Moss and Robbie Blaha (English) Published in September 2001, this book is a comprehensive overview of sex education covering topics like modesty, sexual health care, masturbation, touch boundaries etc. Aimed at parents and providers of deaf-blind children, it is well suited for a developed country audience. Although, it does not specifically mention HIV/AIDS, it provides a good discussion on many relevant issues for people designing HIV intervention programs. It also includes a good reference section at the end. While there's nothing specifically on HIV/AIDS, it can be an excellent resource for those working with deaf-blind individuals. It has detailed chapters on communication - a critical and essential skill needed while talking about sex and HIV/AIDS with children and adolescents. Also recommended for parents of deaf-blind children and advocacy organizations. While designed for deaf-blind individuals, much of the information in this book is appropriate for establishing communication between parents and children who are deaf or blind or intellectually disabled.
