Remarkable Conversations: A Guide to Developing Meaningful Communication with Children and Young Adults who are Deafblind

Miles Barbara and Riggio Marianne (English)

A comprehensive book designed by teachers, working with the deaf-blind, for teachers. While there's nothing specifically on HIV/AIDS, it can be an excellent resource for those working with deaf-blind individuals. It has detailed chapters on communication - a critical and essential skill needed while talking about sex and HIV/AIDS with children and adolescents. Also recommended for parents of deaf-blind children and advocacy organizations. While designed for deaf-blind individuals, much of the information in this book is appropriate for establishing communication between parents and children who are deaf or blind or intellectually disabled.
