INTERNATIONAL

International Clinical, Operational, and Health Services Research and Training Award

ICOHRTA

The ICOHRTA supports training to facilitate collaborative, multidisciplinary, international clinical, operational, health services and prevention science research between U.S. institutions and those in developing countries, as well as emerging democracies of Eastern Europe, Russia, and the Newly Independent States. The ICOHRTA addresses global health problems by extending and enhancing the research of the collaborating U.S. and foreign scientists while increasing the clinical, operational, health services and prevention research capacity of the collaborating foreign scientists and their institutions.

ICOHRTA AIDS/TB

This program supports research training to strengthen the capacity of institutions to conduct clinical, operational and health services research. These institutions are located in low- and middle-income countries where AIDS, TB, or both are significant problems. The program places the primary initiative and operation of the program with developing country institutions and the research training addresses the skills needed at institutions to design and conduct HIV/AIDS and TB research for the scale-up of promising interventions to the population and health care system.
