Sustainable Care and Support for Children Made Vulnerable and Orphaned by AIDS, May 2003

On May 5, 2003, CIRA convened researchers, donors, and representatives from non-governmental and community-based organizations for a mini-conference to further discussion on issues facing children and families affected by HIV/AIDS. Support for families and communities was acknowledged as the key to healthy development and well-being of orphaned and other vulnerable children. Participants identified gaps in knowledge and possibilities for future collaboration on research and programming.
