CIRA Notes, the e-Newsletter from CIRA Tuesday, February 1, 2005
A Note from Our Director

Michael H. Merson, M.D.Welcome to CIRA NOTES, a new monthly online e-newsletter which replaces our previously published print version. At CIRA, we are privileged to have many dedicated faculty, fellows and staff from throughout the University working together with our collaborators in Connecticut and around the world in cutting-edge research, policy analysis and program evaluation to help improve local and global responses to the HIV/AIDS pandemic. The daily news headlines may leave you feeling that little progress has been made in prevention, treatment and care of this disease. Nothing could be further from the truth, as evidenced by the results of many of CIRA's projects. With our monthly e-newsletter, we will introduce you to the CIRA scientists who are carrying out this work and provide reports on their most important findings.

Sincerely,

Michael Merson signature
