How to Disseminate Research Findings

Often a neglected afterthought in busy research schedules, the dissemination of key findings is a crucial step in the research process. In doing so, it helps address one of the most frequent concerns about research we have heard from community partners, namely, that the results are often not made available to study participants and others in the local community that could benefit from them.

Creating dissemination plans are a requirement of all affiliated projects. The Community Research (CR) Core provides CIRA scientists and fellows with assistance in disseminating research results to community settings. The CR Core does this in two ways: If necessary, an individualized meeting can be scheduled with the Assistant Director for the CR Core to further develop the plan.
